Bun is becoming the default JavaScript toolkit

A few years ago Bun was a fast newcomer making big promises. For many teams it has quietly become the default: one binary replacing runtime, package manager, bundler and test runner — and noticeably faster at every step.

Less tooling, less friction

The win isn't only speed. One tool means one config, one mental model and fewer moving parts in CI. Installs that took minutes now take seconds; that adds up across a working day.

Our take

We never reach blindly for the newest thing, but faster builds and less tooling noise are real wins for a team. For new web projects, Bun has become a serious default — no longer an experiment.
